Geotextiles

These are permeable technical textiles used for civil and other geotechnical applications. we provide a wide range of woven and non woven Geotextile for soil improvement and reinforcement, we also provide professional installation and supervisory services where we ensure the integrity of the materials deployed are intact. We have our distribution arms in Lagos, abuja and Ghana. Geotextiles are used for their filtration, separation, reinforcement, drainage and load distribution properties.

Woven: They are woven multifilament manufactured from high tenacity polyester filament yarns. These have high tensile strengths, low elongation, low creep and excellent durability, they are recommended for application where the predominant Geosynthetics function is reinforcement. With its low apparent opening size and adequate permeability , the Geotextile can also reform the fiction of separation and to a limited extent filtration.

Non-wovens: We provide a wide range of woven and non woven Geotextile for soil improvement and reinforcement, we also provide professional installation and supervisory services where we ensure the integrity of the materials deployed are intact. We have our distribution arms in Lagos, warri, Port Harcourt and Ghana. Geotextiles are used for their filtration, separation, reinforcement, drainage and load distribution properties.

FUNCTIONS:

SEPARATION: The geotextile is placed in between two non-homogenous layers, by doing this it separates and maintains the integrity of the individual layers. It also helps to improving long term stress relief.

FILTRATION: The geotextile allows for percolation across its total surface area and retains the materials on the upstream side. The key component to check when choosing a geotextile for a design is the pore opening size, this determines the flow rate and the amount of fine particle that can me retained on the upstream side of the geotextile.

REINFORCEMENT: The geotextile chosen should have the right hydraulic properties required to improve the stabilization of the soil & geotextile combination.

DRAINAGE: When used as a geocomposite in engineered landfill solutions , the geotextile allows the passage of liquid (and gas) across its total surface area. The key component that provides this function is the transmissivity of the geotextile.

APPLICATIONS:Basal road construction.
Subgrade road reinforcement
Bridge construction
Agriculture.
Erosion control works.
