Geocell-reinforcement in ground improvement is being used very extensively in present days. It is a three dimensional honeycombed confinement system, made of geosynthetics, which significantly improves the bearing capacity of soft soils, specially, in foundations, and pavements applications. Apart from improving the soil strength, it has also been extensively used in various slope stabilization, embankment construction and railway track applications.
